mirage
the heat was not easy to bear
engulfing, like a desperate mans' prayer
i reached for my container
hoping there'd be water
not even a trickle, not even a drop
in this dire situation, i'd suck a dry mop
i looked at the sand around me
hoping for something that would let me be
the view ahead was hazy
i saw something, i might be crazy
trees so close, i hear water dripping
i ran berserkly, didn't mind the tripping
i scooped the water and drank like hell
then it turned to sand, i started to yell
like your love that's like a soothing massage
all of it, everything was completely a mirage
