product CBT implementation. Made sure that when the tested software is
being deployed to the field, there would be a flawless migration and that
data integrity is being preserved.

Operations Department at Merck Co., Inc.. Hardware responsibilities
included troubleshooting and replacing parts for IBM Laptop
models(mainly560 series and 600 series). Software support included,
troubleshooting software problems, installation of patches and refreshing
the respective machine images while preserving the integrity of the data.

Assurance role ensures that all the machines that are being re-deployed to
the field are being checked and double checked in accordance to Merck QA
standards and that all the problems pertaining as to why the machine came

conjunction with DBMCT.

Tested software for Y2K compliance testing in accordance to the
procedures of the certified test scripts at the Y2K laboratory. Software
included Maximizer 5.0, Max Exchange 5.0, Report Manager 3.1.1, Winfiler
98 and MAS-90.

Scanned
Access databases for Y2K critical date fields using OnMark 2000 scanning
utility. Identified which date field might be affected by the Y2K
rollover, specifically 2 digit year fields.
Assisted other System Analysts for the timely completion of their
test scripts.

As a Technical Support at GMAC Mortgage served as part of the 5 man
Y2K Remediation Team assigned at the GMAC Mortgage, which is responsible
for remediation and re-imaging of over 1,000 Hewlett Packard (HP) and
Texas Instruments (TI) desktops/laptops called for by the GMAC/Pinkerton
Statement of Work.

included the support of post and pre-remediation process, through a
12-hour helpdesk rotation covering all branches of GMAC and
troubleshooting Y2K related software and hardware problems, including
network printer connectivity, DNS resolution, e-mail connectivity, data
back-up and restore, terminal emulation connectivity(Extra 6.4, Tiny Term

with the existing GMAC Network Support staff to assist with password and
ID resolution.

Upgraded
existing software for Y2K compliance in accordance to the standards
provided for by GMAC Mortgage. Upgraded
and configured software for Y2K compliance such as Extra 6.4, Tiny Term
3.3, McAffee 4.02, IomegaWare, HP JetAdmin, MS Internet Explorer 4.01.
Installed Y2K patches and Service Packs for MS Windows 95 and
Applications (MS Office Suite 97, MS Outlook 98, MS Internet Explorer
4.01). Removed and installed
corporate standard software such as MS Office (4.3, 95 Pro, 97), MS Plus,
NI Print, and Ghostscript® 5.02.

Upgraded
MS Exchange to MS Outlook and configured it accordingly for remote access
and e-mail connectivity. Gathered
all the necessary user data and network settings before re-imaging the
hard drive and restoring it back after the process.

Checked
for the correct settings for the modem’s COM port and IRQ to ensure the
smooth operation of the GMAC proprietary loan generator software Loansoft
Works™. Made sure that all
the applications that were newly installed on the machine were working
properly through a thorough Quality Assurance testing process.
